Elena’s Daycare is a family owned and operated business founded in 2001 by Marielena Veracoechea Sphenson. Ms. Elena is a retired educator, who started her career in 1972. During her years in education, she taught all age groups, she worked as an administrator in the public and private sector, and founded a private school in Venezuela called “Unidad Educativa Dr. Domingo Guzman Lander” in 1979.

In 2001, Ms. Elena relocated to the United States and became a home care provider. As the daycare grew, she decided to move into a store front and upgrade her license to become a registered commercial daycare  provider and called it Elena’s Day Care and Learning Center. At this new location, we aim to maintain a homelike environment where children feel safe and comfortable to socialize. In order to ensure the quality of our services and foremost the safety of our clients (the children) we require all employees at Elena’s Daycare to undergo a fingerprint and background check using the FBI's database and complete a series of certifications. These certifications include shaken baby syndrome, CPR, and first aid. In addition, Elena’s Daycare has all the licenses, permits, and certificates required by the city and the state to operate as a childcare provider and as transportation service provider.

Our transportation services include transporting children to other daycares, public and private schools, or anywhere parents need. To maximize the safety of our children, we require that all drivers go through drug test, driving record check, and fingerprint and background check using the FBI's database. Elena’s Daycare strives for a bully free environment where your child will have his/her own seating space with seatbelt and a booster seat (if needed) as well as a safe, reliable, and inspected vehicle.
